Lucky's Story...
Lucky is a sweet, small boy who would love to find a new home. He has an outgoing and gentle personality hard to deny. He is pretty low energy most of the time, but he does have a more playful personality when he has the chance to meet young children. When he has a young child to play with, Lucky enjoys a game of fetch and will bounce around with excitement to have made a new friend. He is very gentle while he plays and is careful not to jump up on kids during the fun.

Lucky also enjoys going for walks outside and will happily come back to curl up on a bed that is all his. He likes being able to sit in a person’s lap while they pet him and he will sometimes even fall asleep because he is so comfortable and happy. If you are interested in adding this endearing little man to your family, please fill out an application today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a St. Louis Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
