Quincy's Story...
Meet QUINCY!!
This sweet 5 month old, mixed breed, neutered male, is currently approx 8 pounds and super adorable. Found in South Texas living on the streets with his littermates by a good samaritan. Only 4 survived their living conditions. Mom is a dachshund mix, dad is anyone's guess! He is great in a crate, but not yet completely potty trained. He is very active, playful, inquisitive, and is very smart. He would be an excellent candidate for a puppy class. Loves toys and playing with his siblings. Quincy sleeps soundly thru the night. He is neutered, up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm negative, and is micro-chipped. Comes with a health certificate. Preferred home has a yard he can play in supervised, and no children under 8 please. Quincy is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted.

Local adopters must meet same requirements as out of state adopters.

Adoption fee is $170, and transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Dog may be flown also, if desired, at airline rates.

Contact Teresa at teresakopacki@gmail.com for an application or for additional information, or call Michelle at 210-535-5480.

Act quickly to adopt Quincy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Quincy, a Troutville Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Troutville, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Troutville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troutville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troutville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troutville paves the way for another one to be saved.
