My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Please note Gordie's adoption fee has been waived! P4P will also cover A Sound Beginning class and in-home training session after adoption! **

Hi! I'm Gordie. I'm about 2 years and I am a ton of fun! I love to play tug-of-war, take car rides, visit Home Depot (I call it Home GOR-depot!), and meet people everywhere I go. I beg every day for a walk - even if it's a short one. I love exploring the world and am looking for a family who likes to do that, too. I'm one of the Peace for Pits Respits, which means I visit the residents of a nursing home to give and get some love. Meeting people is the highlight of my day. I can't help it - everyone loves me!

I'm over 100lbs of American Bulldog hunk, which is saying a LOT because it wasn't very long ago that I was malnourished and very sick. I have a condition called ichythyosis [ick-thee-O-sis], but my foster family has lots of tips and tricks to help keep that in check. My skin is dry and I have some bald patches. Oh, and I get more baths than other dogs - but I LOVE my baths. It's not so hard to deal with. Let's do it together!

When my foster parents leave home, I get quality time in my crate. Otherwise, I throw parties and they don't seem to like that too much. I have no problem going in my crate since all my favorite toys and treats are in there.

Gordie is a friendly guy who loves all people. He also likes to play with other large dogs, but doesn't tend to get along with others that are small or try to dominate him. He absolutely loves walks, playing tug and being rubbed with lotion. All that Gordie wants in life is his own family and food. He likes all food, but especially fruit.
