Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**PLEASE READ TO THE END FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION.**
Lori is an extra-special girl who has been with us for quite some time. She was born completely blind and it does not seem to bother her one bit. Lori acclimates very well to new surroundings given a bit of time and encouragement. She loves other dogs once she gets to know them, but that also takes time. Lori will growl and fuss at new animals in her space, but as soon as she knows they are part of the "pack" she quickly becomes besties with them. The video included here shows Lori playing with Noelle, a 3 lb puppy also in foster care with her, and you will all get a kick out of it. Lori has had a complete dental, is heartworm negative, vaccinated, spayed, and ready for her future. She is 8 years old and weighs approximately 7 lbs with a beautiful chocolate coat. Lori just needs an adopter who will love her, be patient with her, be kind, and give her a chance. She has been hard to place because she is a tad growly to new dogs at first, but we promise that wears off quickly. She has no teeth, so she can't do any damage if she tries and will come out of her shell with a short period of adjustment. She has great potty manners and learns her new surroundings with ease. Please give this special girl a chance at a forever home.
If you would like to adopt Lori, please fill out an application at www.TexasChihuahuaRescue.com. Her adoption fee, including vetting paperwork and microchip registration to adopter, is $150, but she is part of our Seniors for Seniors program, meaning her adoption fee will be waived with an approved application by the right senior human.
Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in San Antonio, Texas. All of our adoptable dogs are located in the San Antonio area. Additional photos and videos will be made available to potential adopters upon approval of our online adoption application. Transport arrangements will be made upon application approval and completion of the adoption agreement.
