My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mike was seized as a cruelty case in 2015 but was given back to his owner with the requirements that he follow proper care guidelines. He had Mike treated for heartworms but failed to put him on preventative so a year later Mike was seized again and is heartworm positive for the second time. We have started him on Advantage Multi in hopes that we can get him heartworm free without having to put him through the harsh Immiticide treatment again. Mike is in a foster home where he is doing very well. He's a sweet, sweet boy that seems very grateful to no longer live in an outdoor pen. Mike is crate trained and walks great on a leash. He's 5 years old and fabulous with other dogs. Dog adoption is 130.00 and includes spay/neuter, heartworm testing, age appropriate vaccines including a 3 year rabies, health exam, deworming, and microchipping. Any animal 6 months or older is considered an adult. No animals are vetted until they are adopted as we do not have a vet on staff. Once the animal is adopted we make a vet appointment, and they must go to be vetted before they can go home with an adopter. Call 985.651.7387 for more information regarding adoption.
