Samson's Story...
Hi, I am Samson. I am a energetic, small boy who needs a small dog friend at my new home to play and cuddle with. I am working on potty training, and know how to use a doggy door. Sometimes I forget I go outside to potty and get to chase squirrels and leaves, and will have an accident. I love to walk with my foster mom every day. We go 1-2 miles a day, so I will help keep you fit. I stay in a crate when my foster family is out, but I do not like to stay in there too long. I dream of a home with older kids who will play with me and teach me tricks. Little kids scare me when they run and are loud. I know they are just playing most times but I just am not getting comfortable with it. I love to run loose in a fenced yard and investigate, or chew on a bone, and wrestle and chase my dog friends. Please go to www.forrescue.net and complete an application if you think you have a home like I dream of.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samson, a Knoxville Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
