Emma is an approximately 8 yr. old terrier/dachshund mix she current weighs 9 LBS…she is current on her vaccinations and has been spayed and micro-chipped….She was found in a gutter in Stockton unable to use her rear left leg. She would drag herself where she needed to go. Over the course of a month we took Emma to three different vet clinics hoping for a miracle but we were told she wasn’t operable. X-rays told us that she had a partially severed spinal cord. We had hoped that acupuncture might help but were told it wouldn’t. Amazingly three days after her final vet visit Emma started to pull herself up to walk. Over the next week or so she started running and playing. She still walks wobbly but she is doing wonderful, we have to try and keep her from playing to rowdy. Today Emma is a happy, playful girl who not only walks on a leash, but loves running and playing with the other dogs. We think Emma had been hit by a car although we will never know. She only has about 3 teeth in her mouth but it doesn’t stop her from eating baby carrots and enjoying her chewy before falling asleep at night. Emma loves belly rubs and is eager to reward you with lots of love and kisses. She has so much life and love in her and will be a wonderful companion, she does need a canine playmate
