My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spike is a 3-1/2 year old Pointer mix and weighs 37 lbs. Poor Spike was surrendered by his former owner. No worries though, Spike did not do anything wrong. He is a good boy. His former owner unfortunately lost their home and did not know what else to do.

Spike was initially a bit shaken up and visibly heartbroken but he is much better now. He currently lives in a foster home and has adjusted very well. He is house & leash trained, good with other dogs and friendly with people including respectful children.

Spike can be a tad bit shy at first but is very affectionate and playful once he feels safe. His foster mom said he does this adorable prance dance when she gets his leash to go for a walk. He loves going on walks. She also said that he is a very easy going dog, has an low energy level and is simply “the perfect dog”.

So if you are looking for “The Perfect Dog” then look no further…you have found him.

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175.

We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.

The adoption fee of $200 covers neuter, microchip and current vaccines.

Please apply to adopt or foster Spike online at www.corridorrescue.org.
