My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tillie will be at adoption event this Sunday February 26 at Petco in Southington from 11-3pm

Home is with the person who throughout it all never gives up on you and brings you eternal happiness.  ― Tillie Cole, Sweet Home
In a world where so many things are taken for granted, the simplicity of the word and being of  'home' is the most significant word in the world for an unwanted and unloved shelter dog. Fortunately for our sweet Tillie she is closer to achieving this goal. Tillie is a mostly tan 6 month old Black Mouth Cur mix weighing 35 lbs. She will likely be around 45 lbs full grown. Tillie was pulled by rescue from a high kill southern shelter and placed in a loving foster home. Here she began learning how wonderful it is to be loved and cared for. She quickly picked up on what to do when living in a real home. Tillie is making great progress on her house training and will go out side via a doggy door for potty. She does still prefer the company of her human when it's dark outside, but what little girl wouldn't? Tillie is completely crate trained if needed for adjustment in new surroundings. Give her some great chew toys to occupy her time and she is quite content. She usually sleeps on her dog bed at night next to foster mom but has been known to sneak up on the bed in the middle of the night for some cuddles. Foster mom says you would never even know if not for the extra warmth. Tillie is very good on leash and loves her daily walks. She is also an excellent driving companion so she will do great on family road trips. Our sweet gentle girl is great with other dogs, cats, and children. She is not hyper or a jumper which makes her a great family companion for those with younger kids. Tillie is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. The only thing this beautiful sweet baby needs is a family or person to call her own. Will you be the person who will be there forever? Will you be Tillie's home?
