Hedwig's Story...
This little boy is approx 3-4 years old and 16 lbs. He is just beautiful and very sweet. We are not sure of his breed mix, maybe cairn terrier. He has a very soft coat. He seems to be quite well house and leash trained. He absolutely loves toys, any type he will play with and loves to play fetch, except he won't give you back the you just sits and plays with it. The vet says he may have a slight luxating patella but did not suggest any surgery for him. He gets around fine. He is a really nice dog, loves to play with his buddies, sleeps in his doggie bed or in a big armchair which seems to be his favorite spot. He is going to be a super nice dog for someone

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hedwig, a Norwalk Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
