Scottie girl's Story...
We have one Scottie baby girl left. She was born July 2nd, and is a ball of fire. The litter is from an auction of puppy mill dogs, mostly babies, and came to rescue with a bad case of Giardia and Coccidiosis. They are pretty much over that, although I expect the stress of leaving here and going to a new family, without her brother and sisters, will cause a relapse and need to be treated one more time. They are strong, otherwise healthy, and full of energy. I have never seen babies play as rough as these kids do, but they are also champion cuddlers. They were given adult style haircuts for the auction, so they don't look like babies any more. It is more like a small pack of mini Scotties. Really cute, but I have learned it is very hard to take good pictures of fast moving little black dogs. We do not charge an adoption fee, but do ask a donation to reimburse for our medical and transport expenses.. Now that we are officially a 501c3 charity, all donations are tax deductible We are asking a donation of $700 for each of these tykes because we had to buy them at an auction to get them out of the mill system and to freedom These auctions are put on monthly, and are where the breeders go to get new breeding stock, just like horses and cattle. Each adult dog will be spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (negative, unless stated otherwise), treated for parasites, and up to date on shots. While we are vigilant to get everyone as healthy as possible before we send them off to start their new lives, it is to be expected that, after the stress of traveling across the country from Kansas, (where our dogs are rehabilitated), and going to a new home, they will probably need to be retreated for parasites. We want to stress that your new friend needs to be seen by your veterinarian within the first week of arrival. We absolutely guarantee a happy adoption, or you MUST return the dog and we will undo the contract. If you are not happy, the dog is not happy, and we are not happy. You may find some of our previously adopted dogs on our 'Happy Tails' page on this website. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scottie girl, a Rye Scottie, Scottish Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Scottie, Scottish Terrier for sale in Rye, or seeking a Scottie, Scottish Terrier puppy from a breeder in Rye.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rye already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rye breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Scottie, Scottish Terrier breeders who help with Scottie, Scottish Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rye paves the way for another one to be saved.
