Sailor's Story...
Sailor is a 16 week old puppy that came from a rural shelter in North Carolina. She was very timid when she arrived but with the help of her foster family, she has gained her confidence! She loves to play with other dogs and has a lot of puppy energy. She would love an active family that will take her to puppy school and playdates; she will also enjoy a fenced in yard to run in!

Sailor is doing great with housetraining and crate training. She is learning to walk on a leash and her basic puppy obedience.

Sailor is fully vaccinated, microchipped, vetted and spayed. She is all ready for her very own family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sailor, a Virginia Beach Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
