Kona's Story...
Meet Kona a sweet, beautiful, 1 year old Boxer/Pit mix. Kona came to us almost a month ago very scared, under weight and unsure of just about anyone or anything. Her first evaluation was not the best so we enlisted the help of dog Trainer Sue Rowe to evaluate her and work with her on the issues we were seeing. Now 2 weeks later she is ready to go to her forever home. Kona will still need to be worked with on a daily basis so she does not revert back to her old habits but with time she will be even more amazing than she is now. As of now we are requiring the family that will be adopting her to have bully breed experience, no cats and no dogs in the home. We are also requiring the family to have a free consult with Sue Rowe who has been working with Kona on a weekly basis here. Kona is very willing to work especially when she is offered treats! She knows her basic obedience and couldn't be more loving with people. Kona's adoption fee is $170 which includes her vaccines, deworming, fecal exam, heartworm test, spay and registered microchip. Additional training with Sue Rowe maybe required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kona, a Joliet Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Joliet, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Joliet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Joliet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Joliet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Joliet paves the way for another one to be saved.
