Dear potential forever family,
Hi, I’m Henry… a cool poodle dude with as much spunk as I have tenderness. I was rescued from the shelter, a place I’ve known more than once in my life and it has been a bit ruff on my self-esteem as you might imagine. I’m really excited to have a new beginning with Beople’s People who are taking the time to teach me all sorts of things like walking on a leash and going on outings. Every day I build my confidence more and am eager to learn… my vocabulary currently includes “sit,” “stay,” “leave it,” “heel,” and I am working on “down” and “off.” I really love going on walks and would do amazing with an active pet parent who wants to go on hikes and explorations with me. I still have some work to do when it comes to meeting other dogs so my forever mate must practice good boundaries and know how to redirect if needed so that I can learn and grow. I’ve made friends with the dog buddies in my foster home, but it’s mostly meeting other dogs on a leash that I’m working on. I am in tune to the energy around me and prefer a low key zen home as high anxiety or drama is a no-no for me and will not help me be my best self. After a long day, one of my favorite things to do is curl up to my person. I will be your best buddy if you give me the chance.
