My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sally is a four-year-old brown and black tiger female cat. Sally came to us with a companion, both from a multiple cat household, and the owner was too limited in finances to adequately care for them. Sally came to us with a hernia so large it was pushing on her other major organs, and major surgery was required to save her life. Our staff and volunteers went to work with fund-raising on her behalf for her surgery and care, and our supporters, as always, came through. We now have a beautiful girl looking for her forever home. Sally is very gentle and easy-going, and if you say “couch” she pipes up “Potato! That’s me!” If you’re looking for a gentle and quiet girl, come meet Sally. She would love to meet you!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Our shelter is located in the Care for Animals veterinary hospital, at 2944 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during the following hours: Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 5 pm, Wednesday 9 am to 7 pm, Thursday 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday 9 am to 3 pm. We have an Adoption Open House every Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon – hope to see you there! We're also happy to set up appointments.
