Meet Buzz. He is a very spry senior dog looking for his forever home. He is housebroken but requires more frequent trips outside to assist in his reliability. He loves walks and rides in the car. He likes to snuggle on the couch. Buzz is good with cats and dogs and people of all ages. He is probably too senior to be comfortable around many children under 8 but dog savvy children are fine. Buzz is 11, in excellent health, very active, loves toys, and around 18 pounds. If you would like to give Buzz a new forever family, please fill out our online application at: www.secondchancesalem.org His adoption fee is: $150

About Second Chance Salem

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small 501(c)3 Non-Profit rescue in Salem, OR focused on giving quality care to our dogs until we find them their perfect forever homes. We want to bridge the gap between humans and dogs with education, support and compassion. All of our dogs are housed in a family setting.
We started SCS because we saw a need for another dog rescue in the Salem area. We take in owner surrenders and shelter transfers. Our main focus is Oregon dogs and their owners. We are very passionate about our dogs and we know them all like our own.

Our Adoption Process...

For an online application go to:

www.secondchancesalem.org

We will do a home check and for this reason, most of our adoptions are limited to a 50 mile radius. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis.

The adoption fee varies based on the special needs of the dog. If the routine needs of the dog are higher the adoption fee of the dog is higher. Senior dogs adopted through SCS qualify for lifetime free exams. Adoption fees typically start at $150.

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip ID, collar and SCS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, free veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!

All dogs adopted through SCS are spayed/neutered before they leave our care.
