They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. I think this baby girl does not have eyes because her soul is too beautiful for us to look at.
Sacramento - Trischa was born about 8/1/16, and she is completely blind but she does not know it! She has microphthalmia and her eye holes are quite small but the opthamologist specialist we took her to said she cannot see at all, no surgery could help her but at this time there is no reason to remove her eyes either. She doesn't know she is different, she is happy, loving and just so very sweet. She would be best with a dog to show her the ropes, but she gets around well on her own. Dogs can guide her (sometimes that isn't a great thing as she falls off the retaining wall, following her sisters like a lemming), show her where her food and water are. She ended up in the Avenal Animal Shelter Friends with her mom (a shih Tzu mix) and sisters, where another rescue was only going to rescue her sisters and leave her behind. I am so glad we did. She makes my heart so happy and I know she is going to be the light of someone else's life as well. There is something about watching a special needs animal (or person) loving life that fills your soul with love and happiness.
She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and is ready for a home of her own. You can find our adoption process online at: http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/adoption-process/
Adoption Fee: $200
