My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tessa Ann in a word is AWESOME! She is absolutely stunning and it is hard to find a photo that does her justice. Her coat is the length and consistency of a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, but the color is brindle. We aren’t sure of her heritage, but whatever it is, she is gorgeous!!!

Not only is Tessa Ann a beauty, she is one of the most loving and sweet dogs you will ever meet. She adores any and all humans and begs for petting. She is very liberal with her kisses and can’t wait for a chance to cuddle with any human who will agree. She also adores dogs….any dog! She will play with another dog for hours. She is a gentle player and does not show any signs of aggression. She also loves cuddling with other dogs. Although she has not been around children in her foster home, we feel that she would love children and adore their attention and playing with them.

Tessa came to RARE from a dog pound in a rural area of West Tennessee. This pound is high kill and Tessa would have had little chance of survival unless she came into the RARE program. Despite the tough times she’s been through, Tessa is so sweet and happy!

Tessa crates well and does not fuss in her crate. She rarely barks. We are working on perfecting her house training, but many of her house training issues have been due to a urinary tract infection. She is taking medication for this and we hope to have it cleared up soon.

Tessa would love to find a family to call her own! She promises to give you all the love that is in her heart! Could you be her lucky forever human? Ask about her today!
