Please submit an application and do not also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.
DINO is just about the sweetest and most handsome guy you will ever meet. His deep, stunning eyes are full of youthful exuberance and joy for life. He is a kind hearted boy who is fantastic with other dogs: young, senior, large, and small. The resident dogs at his foster are a young adult weimaraner and a senior beagle. A puppy also comes to visit frequently. DINO has the innate ability to know which pups want to play and which ones prefer he leave them alone. DINO is the perfect companion for lounging on the couch, a hike, or a road trip. He is a year old, passed the tiny time consuming puppy training stage but with his whole life ahead of him. He aims to please and has nice house manners. He is quiet in crate and trots right in when asked. While he doesn't currently live with cats, he has crossed paths with them. It appears he will be gentle with them (which is no surprise to us). This guy never runs out of affection to give. DINO is going to bring a lifetime of happy memories and smiles to his lucky forever family.
DINO is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
