Sweet, Affectionate Beau Needs a Family to Call His Own
4-year-old, large, male, black and tan, German Shepherd mix

Location: Tucson
The dark and handsome Beau was found as a stray in Tucson and was trying to sneak into a backyard for water. This poor boy was desperate for food and water. Our volunteer took him in and has been working with him, but unfortunately, he doesn’t get along well with other dogs, so he needs to be the only dog in the home. Beau absolutely loves people and is wonderful with kids. But he much prefers the company of humans and even cats over other dogs. In fact, Beau is really the kind of dog that would be happiest with a family and kids to play with!
The best part about Beau, other than his stunning good looks, is that he already knows several commands like sit, down, heel and stay. And he even walks great on a leash. Our volunteer reports that he is a truly affectionate and sweet soul. He gets bored with no kids to play with, and we think he’d be a wonderful family dog where he can watch over the children and play toys and ball with them. He loves his toys!
And guess what. Beau is just fine with cats! How many shepherd mixes can say that? He truly doesn’t mind cats and even lays alongside them with no problem. And don’t get the wrong idea, Beau isn’t the type to go non-stop. No, this charmer likes to just lay by you and cuddle. He’s really a sweet, sweet boy and deserves a fun family to hang out with.
