Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm George, a 5 year old black lab. I am a typical Labrador. The reason I know this is because, one day I was outside as usual, when a bird or squirrel caught my attention, before I knew it, my home wasn't there, and was wandering the streets. I, as most Labradors do, took matters into my own hands, searching for someone to help me find my home. I found a really nice man who tried to find my home for a few weeks, but with no luck. So now I am an orphan looking for a new adoptive family, and I am now part of HFE. They have made me go to the doctor and cleaned me up as you know. I look good in my black tuxedo fur and my white chest, so I look good for my new adoptive family. I am about 75-80 pounds and neutered.
Please be aware, I do like petting (especially my belly), licking you, and playing ball. You may need to refresh me on chewing bones and fetching outside again because it has been a while. I need to brush up on my skills. I am told my behavior is like most labs.
I am unique and special because getting lost is not my thing anymore. If you adopt me, please stay with me, when we are outside. No more distractions, or maybe just a few if you do not mind. I will look at birds and chase squirrels, but you will be there to make sure I do not go far. I am also happy to go in my crate when you are not home, just make sure I have a bone to keep me busy so I do not miss you too badly. Oh. and one more thing, in the summer if you get a kiddie pool for the yard, we could go for a dip and get a tan together. BUT please remember I do not want to be left outside alone.
Please adopt me. I really want a forever family to call my very own.
