Hercules found us in February 2016 as a stray. Owners never claimed. Fixed, no chip. Vet says he is 6-7 years old. 7.5 lbs last time at the vet. Great temperament. Almost never barks. Never growls. Stays out from under your feet. Rides great in the car. Likes kids, cats and other dogs. Very much prefers quiet, calm, older women. Loves to cuddle. Likes to be put to bed early. Hates being outside if it's dark or cold. Would do best with a single lady, that stays home.

The bad- 1) Wears a belly band when indoors. Marks furniture or walls without the band 2) He is a "runner". Bolts out the front door and runs when given the chance. He always come back to our house, but if you chase him, he goes farther. Usually gone for 15-30 minutes.

About Treasured Tails OC

About Our Rescue Group...

Welcome to Treasured Tails Canine Rescue. We are a volunteer based non profit 501c3 all breed dog rescue focusing on the animal shelters of Southern California. The dogs we save from shelters are the ones in danger of euthanasia. Highly adoptable dogs lose their lives due to many reasons. Shelter over crowding, an easily treatable medical condition or injury, a dog who is extremely shy or frightened in the shelter environment or in many cases the dog is simply in need of a make over at the groomers. Once a dog enters our rescue he/she goes into a foster home where we can get to know that dog better which allows us to match the dog up with the right family.

Our Mission
To be the bridge between shelter and loving home.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Process
Our dogs are as unique as you are! Adding a new family member is an important decision that will bring years of enjoyment to both human and canine. Our adoption process helps us match the right dog up to the right home. Adoption process is as follows:
-First we like to talk on the phone to determine if the dog you are interested in might be a good match.
-If so, we send out an application via email to be filled out and returned by potential adopter(s).
-Next step is meet n greet with all members of household both human and canine.
-Homecheck to make sure yard is safe and secure
-Adoption

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped with lifetime registration, rabies, dewormed, and up to date on their vaccinations. Adoption fee is $200 for adults and $250 for puppies under 6 months. We adopt out to Southern California only.
