Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Scout!
Gorgeous Scout is about two years old and weighs about 50lbs. We are guessing that he may be an St Bernard/ Anatolian Shepherd /Husky/hound. But there also must be something small because he only weighs about 50lbs. He has super soft fur, a curled tail, and a watch eye. Scout is super friendly and just loves people. He is an extremely loveable dog that looks to please his humans. If you are sitting on the floor he will curl up and try to squeeze in your lap or also simply rest his head in your lap. Scout is a medium to high energy dog. He runs around and plays in the fenced yard with this foster sister Brooke. But still his favorite place to be is next to his human.
Scout is a strong and very gentle and would do best with a strong minded human with dog experience that will set his boundaries. He really lives to please his humans. He has the “guarding “characteristics" like the Anatolian. When not playing with Brooke, his foster sister, you will see him walk the perimeter of the fence. You can also catch him just lying on the deck froggy style and keeping an eye out in the yard! He would do best if his new owners have a fenced in yard or can be committed to working on his leash “skills” and making sure he gets enough exercise daily.
Scout is smart and listens very well – he sits, comes when called and stops what he is doing when you say HEY!
Scout does very well with is foster sister Brooke – but we feel he may be better suited for an only dog home – but this can be revisited depending on the personality of the potential adopters current dog.
He is housetrained and has very good house manners. ( he only goes in the crate when his foster family leaves the house for an extended period) . He is not crated at night. He will take treats gently and has not shown any food aggression. Scout will need some leash work.. he does tend to pull. Scout is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines and on HW preventative. His adoption fee is $450. Scout is really a sweetheart and will love you three fold!
