Molly Beatty's Story...
Molly is a 7 year old pure bred black mini dachshund that weighs 7 lbs. She lost her home due to a divorce and ended up in a foster home. She is very sweet, playful and loves to run and play in her fenced yard. She’s such a good girl that she has the run of the house while foster mom is at work and doesn’t bother a thing. She’s very devoted to her foster mom and enjoys snuggling up to her under the blanket. She also sleeps with her foster mom. She is a bit needy and likes to be held all the time. She is house trained.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Molly Beatty, a Urbana Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Urbana, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Urbana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Urbana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Urbana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Urbana paves the way for another one to be saved.
