Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bernadette is a wonderful 2-3 year old pit bull type dog who is looking for a loving home. Bernadette came to us as a stray - she was found wandering in a parking lot in Indiana wearing a cone while her body was emaciated and she had a huge wound to her back leg. The pictures are very graphic and are not posted here but there is a link below to see them on facebook.
Her leg is now completely healed after two debridement surgeries and some laser work, in addition to daily bandage changes that her foster learned to do at home. She has a small area near the wound were fur no longer grows, that is the only remaining evidence of her initial wound. Bernadette is such a loving girl and she has befriended the resident dogs and even another foster dog, Aspen whom also had a rough past.
Bernadette loves antlers, bones and chew toys and can spend hours on her own chewing! She does not chew furniture and knows that she can only chew on things given to her.
