Jack and Jill were turned in together to the Hayward shelter for stealing a pail of water on top of a hill. Luckily someone intervened before Jack was seriously injured.
Both dogs were very traumatized in the shelter. Staff was unable to do temperament testing because they would cower together, shivering in the back of the kennel when anyone approached them. They weren't fear aggressive; they could be handled, but just very fearful. In order to insure that the 2 dogs remained together, Nobody's Perfekt Dogs pulled them into foster care.
Both dogs are becoming more confident in their foster home. They seem to be okay with other dogs their size and they are warming up to their foster mom, giving kisses when being held. Once they are in their new forever home, they should do well. We are committed to keeping them together.
