Calvi's Story...
Calvi is a very sweet silvery tabby of about 1 year old. There are 5 cats that were picked up from Fire Tower Road in Windsor, including Calvi here. They have all been able to be handled and have shown to be friendly, if scared. They must have been barn cats at some point, and have been socialized. Being a new environment with many different smells and sounds, its very easy for a cat to become stressed out. That makes it hard to determine their behavior sometimes, but we do our best to asses them and their varied temperaments. Don't let that scare you! Calvi has definitely shown her friendliness and would do well as a family pet. She keeps a clean kennel and purrs when she's pet. Calvi will be spayed and updated on her rabies in January. If you are interested in giving a home to a cat who may have never had the luxury of living in a home, such as sweet Calvi, please give us a call at 757-365-6318 or email us at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvi, a Windsor Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Windsor, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Windsor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windsor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windsor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windsor paves the way for another one to be saved.
