Bashful's Info...

I am in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Bashful's Story...
Bashful is a very shy girl who is currently working on building confidence around people and other dogs. She was on the loose for a long time and had to be trapped by animal control to get her into the shelter. She does not seem to want to run away, she mostly wants to be in her crate, which she has made her “safe zone”. She has a lot of anxiety and we are working on helping her adjust to people and other dogs. Right now she is very attached to one person and does not feel comfortable with others. We are still working with her and trying to get a better handle on what exactly she needs and what we can do to get her less anxious. Currently she would need an experience dog owner who would need to work with her to overcome her anxiety issues.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bashful, a Reidsville Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Reidsville, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Reidsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reidsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reidsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reidsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
