Darby's Story...
A very unique dog is our Darby. She is much smaller than you might think from her pictures. She weighs just 20 pounds and won’t get too much bigger than her current weight and height. She loves to play with all the dogs in the yard. Whether they are bigger or smaller, she doesn’t care as long as she’s playing. She is intelligent and intuitive. She is affectionate with a young dog’s playfulness and will make someone a devoted companion. Heartworm negative and up to date on her shots, she is microchipped, crate trained and ready to move into your home and your heart. If you would like to meet Darby, please complete our adoption application form at www.cedarfarmrescue.com . After you have submitted the form, please call Tony at 336.251.8877. He can answer any of your questions about Darby or our adoption process and can schedule a time for you to meet her. Meetings are held at our adoption center in downtown Mocksville by appointment only. Thank you! 42577

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darby, a Mocksville Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Mocksville, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Mocksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mocksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mocksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mocksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
