THANK YOU for wanting a RESCUED DOG/PUP!!!!

My name is Lola and I'm a big, wiggly love-bug! I'm about 2 1/2 years old and I weigh 53 lbs. Some people think i look like a Shepherd/Boxer mix.  I don't like to dwell on the past but some things did happen to me before a nice lady rescued me. Every now and then certain things can make me feel kind of nervous or uncertain, but I snap out of it quickly, especially if I'm shown lots of kindness and patience.  I like to show my excitement and happiness by not just wagging my tail, but wagging my whole body! Hey, there's worse things in life than that. But because of that, I'm probably a little too much for kids 10 and under.  I get so many compliments on how well I walk on a leash. People seem to be really impressed with the fact that I never pull on the leash.  My foster parents taught me to absolutely love going into my crate. All they have to do is say "crate" and point at my crate and I don't mind going right in.  Heck, I like to lounge in there on my own a lot of the times anyway.  I get along really well with the other dogs in my foster home. One of my favorite games is chase. We do a few little track meets around the yard and then go cool off in the baby pool. Life is good!  Everyone always says how cute it is that I tilt my head so often. I must admit, I do it a lot.  It's just my thing I guess.  I don't have any health issues and I've already been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. So the only thing missing at this point is the person who reads this and thinks I sound like I would be the perfect fit for them.   Is that you?  If so, please email Debbie at and she will take it from there.  Hope to see ya soon : )

GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. UPON adoption this dog/pup will be transported to you in YOUR area!!

Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, micro-chipped, heart worm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventative. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

****Please realize that breed mix and size when grown are guesstimates based on the dog/pup's characteristics and coloring, unless we have mother/father in our rescue...*****

ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 for adoptions in TEXAS only. IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $400.00 for adult dogs and $450.00 for puppies.  We transport all over the country!!

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of loving and dedicated individuals who work together to save as many deserving animals as we can. We work tirelessly to assure the animals are well fed, socialized, are healthy and then find them the wonderful home they only dreamed of in the shelter or starving on the streets.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Please donate on the "Contact Us/Donate" page! Thank you!!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have local adoption events weekly at the Pets Barn on 1604 and Blanco in San Antonio.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption application required. Adoption fee of $150 for local adoptions and $350-450 for out of state adoptions (includes transport fees).
We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in Bexar county usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.
