Lancelot's Story...
This litter of pups are so sweet! They are your typical playful pups who seek out attention and love to play with their toys. They all get along great with other dogs, cats, and kids and are working on housebreaking. They came to us as surrenders - the owner's dog got pregnant so they were being given away for free in the Walmart parking lot - never a good thing for a dog in the south but even worse for bigger dogs. Police asked us to take them into our rescue so of course we were honored to help. These pups are about 11 weeks old and around 9 pounds. If you'd like to add one of these cuties to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application. They are in foster in West TN and will be transported once their adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lancelot, a Southington Beagle/English Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/English Pointer for sale in Southington, or seeking a Beagle/English Pointer puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/English Pointer breeders who help with Beagle/English Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
