Gibbs's Story...
YPlease meet Gibbs. He was found as a stray in Memphis. Luckily for him, his finders just happened to be animal lovers. They took him to the vet for check up and where we met Gibbs. We couldn't help but comment on his fabulous ears and that's when we learned Gibbs was in need of a home so we proudly welcomed him into our rescue!

Gibbs is about 7 months old and is a really lovely dog. He is living with another male dog who he loves to play with. He is house trained and crate trained. He loves his people and has no desire to be lost ever again (truth be told we think he never wanted to be lost in the first place - he was likely dumped.) His adoption fee is $500 and will include his neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchipping, deworming, heartworm test(negative), health certificate and transportation from Memphis to your area. Please email wilsonanimalrescue@yahoo.com for an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gibbs, a Hagerstown German Shepherd Dog/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Boxer for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Boxer breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
