This litter may not have been the first born in the New Year, but they are OUR first litter of the year! Three adorable puppies were being dumped in the woods during a freezing ice storm just before New Year's Eve -- seems their irresponsible "owner" decided that the end of the year would be a good time to "end it" for these babies who he didn't want and who could never have survived in that freezing weather on their own. Thank goodness our shelter director in AR was at the right place at the right time to save them. Our resolution is to find these babies homes as soon as possible so they can begin their new start in the New Year!
We have no idea what Isabella's true mix is because "Fuzzy Teddy Bear" isn't an AKC registered breed, but she'd be the breed standard if it was! Bella is the self-appointed Princess of the litter -- hey, someone's gotta wear the crown!! She's always trying some clever new trick to make you laugh, or sometimes just to tease her siblings! She's being fostered in a home with dogs and kids and her true puppy playfulness (and peskiness!) is emerging. She is about 8 weeks old and she's a very healthy girl. She looks mostly Lab and judging from her cleverness and intelligence, maybe with some terrier mixed in, and she looks like she'll be a medium sized adult.
