Bishop's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Bishop's Story...
Bishop is a sweet, feisty boy who was rescued from the streets. He is very friendly and ready for a forever home. He gets along well with other cats and is about 2-3 years old. Bishop is FIV+ (Feline AIDS) but is otherwise healthy and happy! For more info on FIV, just ask a volunteer. Bishop should be placed in a home with adults or older children- occasionally he gets overstimulated and will play bite. He gets along well with other cats but needs a home without dogs.

Bishop is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, feline leukemia negative, and is current on flea/tick preventative. To meet him, please visit our adoption center at PetSmart, 400 Universal Drive, North Haven or complete our adoption application via our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bishop, a North Haven Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Haven, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in North Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
