Waldo's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Waldo's Story...
Waldo is a smart boy who would be best suited for a home with adults or older children. He acts like a fool in his crate at the adoption center (he is not crated at the shelter and it upsets him!), but he is fantastic on walks and in a play yard. Waldo is friendly with other dogs his size, but has never been around little dogs or cats. Someone with Aussie experience would be ideal.

Waldo is neutered and vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, and Lyme. He tested negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Waldo is also microchipped with a lifetime registration.

To meet him, please visit our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org and complete an adoption application. Adoption donation $225

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Waldo, a North Haven Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in North Haven, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in North Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
