Facts about Bode

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Adoption Pending. BODE's life was going downhill fast. He suffered a game-changing injury and was out on the streets in Union City in NW TN. His luck changed when he was found by a nice person who brought him to a local vet's office and paid for his first exam and x-rays. The rescue became involved and a second opinion revealed that his rear leg fracture would require surgery. Bode had a successful surgery and is now in a cast. The vet feels he will recover 100% and will be racing around the yard for years to come. He is a yellow Lab mix who is estimated to be around 16 months old and weighs 44 pounds. He is fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworm. The volunteers who have met him say he is a very sweet, friendly, affectionate dog. One said it is obvious he loves children. If you would like to give this golden boy a good home where he can recover in comfort, please contact us. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Buddy if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover part of the cost of the veterinary care he has received.

Our Adoption Process...

In general, there is an adoption fee of $200 which helps to cover the cost of basic veterinary care, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm and fecal tests, spay or neuter and microchip. If a dog has required medical care above and beyond the norm, the adoption fee could be higher. Fees are sometimes lower for certain dogs, so please inquire. If we are unable to arrange for volunteer transport for adoptions outside our area, it may be necessary for us to arrange for paid transport at a cost of approximately $140. Completion of an adoption application as well as a veterinarian reference is required. Our online adoption application can be found at www.adoptapet.com/TnDiamonds-in-the-Ruff/adoption-application/. We also have a paper application which you can obtain by emailing donnadeaner@gmail.com or call 330-760-2148 or 731-446-4013. Thanks for your interest in adopting a Diamonds Dog!
