Pixie's Story...
Hey there, I’m Pixie. I’m a 4 year old Golden Retriever. I’m about 80 lbs and I know I could stand to lose a few. I really love being active so that won’t be a problem, I just haven’t had the opportunity to get out much lately. I used to have a really big backyard to run in. That was awesome! I’d love to have that again. More importantly I miss having a walk every day. That helps me both mentally and physically so it’s pretty important to get back into that routine. I tend to be on the anxious side. I just love my people a lot and I want to make sure they’re safe. I live with dogs right now, but I don’t like it. I don’t want them to take human attention away from me. My bossy little dog brother is ok but my sister and I fight sometimes. I just wish I could be an only dog. My family had a human baby too. He’s ok, I don’t mind him but he takes a lot of time away from me and now I have extra people to watch over so I’m feeling a little stressed about that. I’m told when they’re older I might be better with them since we can snuggle and play. I think I’d like that. I really like to snuggle. Oh, and car rides! Those are my favorite. If I get to go for a walk, a car ride and snuggle all in one day that would be the best life ever!! Do you want to do those things with me?? I do need you to be patient with me though. I overheard them saying I’d need work but I’m a really good dog, I just need practice adjusting. Adopters must have a fenced yard so we can run and play! My adoption fee is $250. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Vancouver Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
