Bulleit's Story...
Bulleit is a 1-2 year old Basenji mix weighing in at 26 pounds. He is shy at first but is a real lover once he gets to know you. A snuggle buddy who will curl up on your feet or lap. His doggy bed is his favorite place to take a nap. Young with a lot of energy he would benefit from a fenced in yard. He will do best with consistency and plenty of exercise, so an active family with dog experience will be a great fit. Bulleit experiences anxiety when his people leave so a home with another dog or where his people are around a lot is a must. He is getting the hang of sit and stay with treats as rewards and needs continued work with walking on a leash.

To help Bulleit get acclimated to his new home, the adoption fee includes one complimentary training session for adopters that live in Macomb County and some areas of Oakland County.

The adoption fee is $150 and includes: neuter, microchip and vaccines

If you would like to make Bulleit a forever member of your family please apply on line at Animal Aid Foundation Adoption and Foster Application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bulleit, a Rochester Hills Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji for sale in Rochester Hills, or seeking a Basenji dog from a breeder in Rochester Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji breeders who help with Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
