My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AVAILABLE 07-25-16 On 07-19-16 this pitiful skinny Hound Dog with missing patches of fur was brought to the Shelter by a concerned lady who picked him up on a country road. He became known as Lucky Mullen because he was lucky that Ms. Mullen picked him up. He tested negative for heart worms, so is on preventative, his shots are now up to date, he's on grain free food for his fur and he's been microchipped. He's got a short tail probably made that way so it wouldn't get caught in the brush when hunting, but guess what - Lucky Mullen's hunting days are over. He's ready for a warm inside home with a loving family to call his own. He went to a foster home for about a month and did really well- seemed housetrained, used the doggie door, enjoyed playing fetch; he was good with the other dog, the children and all people; he really didn't do well with the chickens though so came back to the Shelter and is now ready for a "no chickens" family. So please come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and meet Lucky Mullen - make the "lucky" part become even more true for him. He qualifies for our Save Our Seniors (SOS) program so if his adopter is age 55 or older his adoption fee is half.
