My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Anya is a female Shih Tzu approximately 1 ½ years old. She is a darling, little girl with a pretty face. She has a striking appearance with her multi-colored coat color of light brown, white, and gray highlights. Her coat is soft and non-shedding. Anya weighs 10 pounds fully grown which is a good adult weight for her. She is attentive and interactive with people and has a mellow, easygoing disposition. Anya is wonderful inside the home with good manners and good habits. She enjoys playing with other small dogs; but during quite times, she can be found snoozing in her favorite doggie bed. Anya enjoys the company of other small dogs, but she would do fine as an only dog. She is the kind of girl that wants to be by your side in the car or snuggled near you in the family room. Anya was rescued from a big shelter where she entered as a stray. It was thought that she had been hit by a car, but x-rays showed no injuries, only a large bladder stone. After acquiring Anya from the shelter, she received extensive vet care and surgery. The analysis of her bladder showed it was due to a long term bladder infection. She will need an adoptive person able to watch for signs of a urinary infection and able to get follow-up vet checks. Anya is now healthy and ready for her new forever loving home today!
