Allie's Story...
Jan 10th...Allie has an adoption pending. Allie is a 6 month old kitten. She is in our Foster to Adopt Program. Her foster reports that she is a purring machine and loves to follow you with adoration. But she has not warmed up to sitting on her lap or cuddling yet. Allie came to us from the shelter and required medical attention for an infected paw. She has fully recovered and now it is time for her to find her loving home. Her foster said that someone is going to be lucky to have such a beautiful and sweet baby. We ask that an application be completed before you meet the animal. All of our animals are from the Clark Co. Animal Shelter so we do not know their history or breed. Allie looks like a purebred maine coon except she is very tiny for her age. Please request an application at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Allie, a Winchester Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Winchester, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Winchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
