This is Mr. Bean (HWTH#16464A). He is a Poodle/Terrier mix, DOB: 6/3/11. Mr. Bean weighs approximately 15 pounds and stands 14 inches at the shoulders. This little guy was relinquished to Halfway to Home due to the declining health of his owner. Mr. Bean is going to need a little time to adjust to all the rapid changes that have taken place in life thus far. He is shy around strangers and needs to be approached slowly and gently. When Mr. Bean is comfortable, he is a loving boy who likes to play with stuffed toys, balls and ropes. He loves to go for walks, is good with other dogs and also older kids (above the age of 6 years). Lots of love, structure and good-quality human companionship will go a long way in helping Mr. Bean ease into his new environment. When he is thoroughly settled in his new Forever home, Mr. Bean will benefit from positive basic obedience training mostly for bonding purposes. Once Mr. Bear has bonded with his new owner, he should make a wonderful, loyal and grateful canine companion. For more information on Mr. Bean, please contact Suzanne at tele # 661-824-4495.

About Halfway to Home

About Our Rescue Group...

Halfway To Home was formed in 2001 due to the need in the Antelope Valley to rescue the many homeless, helpless pets. We have animals from individuals who have to give up pets, and from animal shelters that have darling individuals who need to be spared euthanasia. There are puppies coming from individuals who did not spay and neuter in a timely manner. Your tax deductible donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 512 Rosamond, CA 93560 or you can visit us on our web site at and make a donation through PayPal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Come and see us every Saturday & Sunday, rain or shine from 1 to 5 PM at the Westside Palmdale Petsmart, located on 10th Street West, next to Trader Joe's, just south of Rancho Vista Blvd (Avenue P).

We are in need of volunteers to help out at our pet adoptions at PetSmart in west Palmdale on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 5pm. If interested, please visit us during our adoption hours at the west Palmdale PetSmart or call Suzanne at 661-824-4495.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption procedure includes an application to make sure the dog and the people will be a good match, an adoption fee to cover the cost for shots, spaying or neutering, and a home check. Halfway to Home dogs are adopted out to be part of the family, and many of them are housetrained, if not, we ask that you are willing to undertake that task. Our dogs are intended to be indoor/outdoor family members. Doggie doors are a plus.
