Ghost's Story...
The word that most often describes Ghost is "cute." He's a new arrival that appeared to be a Doberman in his animal shelter picture, complete with cropped ears (which don't stand). Certainly this little 46-pound fawn guy is mostly Dobie, but he has white socks and chest, and he's small. Ghost is active but can also "chill out" on his dog bed. He is too new in our program to have been introduced to kids and other dogs as yet, but other than possibly being competitive for food, he probably can tolerate both just fine. Ghost is about a year old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ghost, a Fillmore Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Fillmore, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Fillmore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fillmore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fillmore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fillmore paves the way for another one to be saved.
