My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

For reasons we will never know, Meadow was surrendered to a shelter by her owner. A wonderful person put us in contact with the shelter, from where we were able to rescue her. When the vet examined her, she had a really bad ear and skin infection. She had a UTI and bladder stones too. She’s being treated for all of these issues and is gaining strength and getting better every day.

Meadow certainly appears to have has been through a lot in her short life. She was very shy and unsure when her foster mom picked her up from the vet, but she tells us that Meadow is just the sweetest little girl! She loves her blankies and cuddles with them all the time. She is getting friendlier and more comfortable with her surroundings, as each day passes. She tolerates her foster siblings, but doesn't like them to get too near her. She would probably do best in a home where she can be an only dog, but not left alone for long hours at a time. She’s trying really hard to do all her business outside, but due to the bladder stones, sometimes she just can't make it. She doesn't mind being picked up and held sometimes, but she would much rather lay next to you or cuddle up in her blankets. She has started to play a little tugging game, but doesn't really attempt to play with toys in general. She is beginning to chew on some of the dog bones around her foster home. She does very well in a crate and when her foster dad says "its bedtime, kennel," she just goes right in, with no complaints. She is quiet all night; as long as she has a few blankets to snuggle with and make her comfortable. She will make a wonderful addition to right adopting family!
