My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We do not adopt dogs from phone calls or emails. Please do not fill in adoption forms anywhere else, but on OUR web site. Thanks for that.

To start our adoption process, please fill out our form on our web site at: www.spokanewienerdogs.org and see the Adopt a Dog/Fee page with more details on how we adopt our dogs. There are a lot of questions answered on our web site and personality details below about each dog BELOW so please READ BEFORE getting in touch. We already answer 500+ emails a day. We do answer questions on dogs once our adoption paperwork is filled in so we can match to the right homes.

Please indicate which dog you are interested in on our adoption form. If their name says "pending home" then they are not available and are on a test drive with a new family. We do remove our dogs when our adoptions are final so please do not ask us if dogs are available if you see their ads.

There is an adoption fee of $250 for this dog.

Snickers is a tiny 8 pound girl and darling mix at 6 years old. She acts like she has had some past abuse so afraid of hands so we are working on socializing her with all the volunteers coming and going. She is skittish when first meeting folks so she would do well in an adult home only and no kids please.

She came to us because toddlers and her do not mix which is typical for this breed. Once she arrived we find her very smart and very trainable so I see no problems for her in an adult home that is more quiet. She really loves laps.

I would prefer she is into a home with one other small dog. Big dogs are too scary for her right this second but working on that as well when she is here.

This is a very sweet girl so I do not see her being her long even though she is a mix and needs more socializing. UPDATE: She is coming along great with socializing when meeting and greeting people plus sitting on laps. If folks have some time for her in her new home she is blooming into a very playful and charming lap dog.

If you do not have a fenced yard and a home without kids please do not apply for this tiny fox faced cutie. We always place the dogs in the homes right for them, not the first one to read our To Adopt page and fill in the form.

Snickers prefers women right now but we are working on that as well. As we know more we will update this listing on her. UPDATE: She is sitting on all visitors laps just fine now.

Because she is part Chihuahua she is tiny so older kids in the home age 12 and up please. She as treated like a stuffed toy in her last home so she is not fond of younger kids unless sitting and respectful of her.

And she is very loud when she barks so if you want a quiet one this is not it.

See above on how we adopt them. Thanks.
