My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Indy
DOB: ~ 5/29/2016
Sex: Female
Breed/Color: DMH/ Flame Point
**Indy is bonded to her sister Star and potential adopters should fill out an application for both cats**

Hello everyone, I'm Independence but my foster mom calls me Indy! My mom was a barn cat and sadly, she died when I was very young. Thankfully, my siblings and I were rescued! My foster mom describes me as an adventurous little trouble maker, despite my rear leg ataxia. Ataxia means impaired balance or coordination. I saw the neurologist at the U of MN and he described it as rear leg "weakness." While this is accurate, he also described me as "energetic!" Also very accurate! In the end, he couldn't give us a definitive diagnosis and thus far my condition has stayed the same. And while it's true that sometimes I have less strength in my back legs for climbing and jumping, and yes sometimes I lose my balance, I dare you to try and outrun me! I love to run, climb, and chase my sister Star. She has rear leg ataxia like me and we're planning on getting adopted together. Besides my sister Star, I live with two cats and a little dog. The cats that I live with don't want to play with me and even though I really want to play, I'm good at leaving them alone when they want me to. Me and the dog - we're great pals! We don't play (she's kinda boring) but sometimes we take naps together. I do really good with my nail trims and travel pretty well in my carrier. Basically, everyone who meets me, loves me! One time I stole money out of someone's purse who was visiting me and she thinks I'm even cuter now! And gave my rescue ladies more money! My looks are irresistible but my personality is what you will really love. My sister is just as awesome as me, which is good since we're a package deal. So don't forget to check out her page found here: http://www.adoptapet.com/pet/17361199-eagan-minnesota-kitten
Hope to be meeting you soon!
