Mabel is a delightful little Beagle mix girl that just recently joined the Safe Hounds rescue family. She is a small dog weighing just 18 pounds. Mabel is "cute as a button" and really loves people! She's spunky, outgoing and friendly, and enjoys playing with other small dogs. Mabel is current on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm neg. (on preventative), and microchipped. She is crate trained and is now working towards becoming reliably housetrained.
Mabel loves the outdoors. She's got a keen eye and is always on the lookout for squirrels, chipmunks, bunnies, etc. while out on a walk. She'd happily give chase if given the opportunity; therefore the security of a fence is a MUST if she is going to be allowed off leash. She needs to work on her leash manners but is already making great strides. With daily practice and consistency she will continue to make progress.
