My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie was rescued from a Southern Illinois Animal Control Facility. She was found as a stray. She is a 11 month old purebred 13" beagle. She is the sweetest dog!

She is doing great in her foster home. She sleeps very well in her kennel at night. She loves giving kisses and loves playing with her foster brothers and sisters.

She would be best with another young dog who likes to play a lot or on her own. Because she does have a high energy level and nose for nature, we are recommending she have a home with a fenced in yard.
