Sadie and Boris's Story...
Boris and Sadie
6 and 7 years old
Two peas in a pod! Boris and Sadie were signed over to our shelter when their previous owner passed away. The family let us know that they have been housebroken, like cats, do well with other dogs (though boris prefers female dogs) and would be best in a home without young children. These two snuggly lap dogs are the perfect pair! Saidie is the outgoing girl who will quick to come say hey and greet you when you come in the door at night. Boris can be pretty shy right off the bat and waits for Sadie to give her nod of approval before he comes over, once he does though you won’t find a sweeter dog around. This cuddly and mellow pair of lap dogs are looking for their forever family and can’t wait to find them!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie and Boris, a Fruit Heights Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Fruit Heights, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Fruit Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fruit Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fruit Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fruit Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
