Mattie's Info...

Mattie's Story...
These puppies were found living under a shed at someone's house where the mom had given birth. They were about 5 weeks old (around 8 weeks and 7 pounds now) and so hungry and cold! They were placed in our jail dog program where female trustees care for and train pups. The puppies are socialized with people and other dogs and have started on "manners" training. If you'd like to add one of these pups to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org to fill out an online application. The pups are in foster care in West TN and will be transported once their adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mattie, a Allentown Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
